Light Sources, LCD-Lighting and Voltarc in North America, LightTech and Cerlux in Hungary, and Light Sources in China have launched www.light-sources.com to represent the unified, corporate family images. The lamp-manufacturing companies’ website reflects the various, innovative lamp technologies offered to the specialty-lighting industry. The site is divided into nine distinct parts, including the corporate section and each lighting solution or product category. Each division is color coded. Corporate – About, Germicidal UVC Lamps, Sign Lamps, Lampholders & Wiring Devices, and Backlighting vary in shades of blue. Specialty Fluorescent is green, Collagen Lamps is red, Tanning Lamps is yellow, and Proprietary Bases & Sockets is beige.The makeover of the website was a collective effort between the companies’ marketing department in the US and the team of Dawn Barson from think creative group, a professional webdesign agency located in New Haven, CT.
“It was a real global team project. I was greatly supported by our team in the U.S., Hungary and China, as well as our agency. The amount of information we had to gather was enormous, but we were able to work it out punctually for the launch. Overall the intent was to combine the companies and brands as a whole with a consistent design. We not only wanted to establish a new marketing tool for our global sales force, but also create a platform for our customers and partners to learn more about our lamp technologies and proprietary solutions,” said Brigitte Platzer, head of marketing at Light Sources and team leader of the global website project.
