Mactac to Acquire Spinnaker Coating for $40 Million

Mactac (Stow, OH), a supplier of pressure-sensitive adhesives, has agreed to acquire Spinnaker Coating for $40 million. The deal is expected to close on Feb. 1.

The acquisition consists of Spinnaker’s manufacturing facility and headquarters in Troy, OH as well as its distribution centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and Vails Gate, NY. Spinnaker, which specializes in the production of pressure-sensitive roll label and sheet base materials, will operate as a standalone subsidiary of Mactac. All of Spinnaker’s employees and management will be retained.

The acquisition is Mactac’s second in the last calendar year. In April 2021, the company purchased Duramark Products (formerly Ritrama USA) for an undisclosed amount.
