Mactac’s South Carolina Facility Earns ISO 9001 Certification

Mactac (Stow, OH) has earned ISO 9001:2015 certification for its manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, SC, where the company produces its pressure-sensitive adhesive products for the wide-format graphic and roll label markets.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized certification program that indicates the achievement of certain quality-management standards. According to an announcement from Mactac, the certificate distinguishes the Spartanburg facility as one committed to cost and waste reduction, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

“Having the ISO 9001 certification signifies that Mactac has a systematic quality-management system in place and that it is working,” said James Houser, the quality assurance manager at Mactac Spartanburg, in the announcement. “This is a big deal for our customers. It assures them that Mactac has knowledgeable, trained and experienced operators who are dedicated to producing quality products. It also provides a foundation for a quality-driven future.”

The company says its quality-management system follows standardized policies and processes, incorporating comprehensive review and measurement processes, a rigorous improvement process, corrective action processes when needed and ongoing customer feedback.

Additionally, the 350,000-sq.-ft. Spartanburg facility serves as a North American product shipping hub. Mactac also holds the ISO 9001:2015 certificate at its Columbus, IN; Scranton, PA; and Minneapolis sites.
