Making a Hole Lot of Difference

Daktronics Inc. (Brookings, SD) designed, manufactured and installed a new LED marquee display for the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, RI. The two-sided marquee display, with each side measuring approximately 9 x 16 ft., incorporates contrast for video images, protection from the elements and a more robust cabinet design with an improved ventilation system. With a 15mm-pixel spacing, the display can show animations and graphics, and promote upcoming events.

The Dunkin’ Donuts Center, a 14,000-seat, multipurpose, indoor, sports and entertainment venue that’s the home of the AHL Providence Bruins and the Big East Providence College Friars, installed a Daktronics centerhung display in 2007 that includes 12 LED video and ribbon displays.
