McDonald's Singapore has adopted digtal-signage provider's C-nario's technology to allow customers to interact with each other via 42-in. screens. Diners can send text messages from the mobile phones to be displayed on the screens and respond in chat-like conversations; respond to running content or live feeds; and generate classified ads that run on a news-like ticker. On the weekends, sports fans can watch five-hour-long video and audio streaming of sporting events. The screens will also feature advertising. Touch-screen kiosks linked to points of sale will issue coupons to eligible customers notified via the digital screens. Music selected based on predetermined parameters will be streamed across various locations.
The McDonald's deployment (67 of 127 Singapore restaurants have been outfitted) is the result of a partnership between C-nario, Singapore-based content provider At-Lite and ABI Dgitial, an intengration and operations company.
