Mimaki Engineering Co. Ltd. (Nagano, Japan [Mimaki USA is in Suwanee, GA]) is announcing its 102.3-in.-wide, JV34-260 printer that produces signs, banners, flags or other print media at speeds up to 30 sq. m./hr. The 1,440-dpi printer includes Mimaki’s RasterLink Pro5 RIP software, newly-designed, staggered (piezo, DOD) printheads that produce three variable dot sizes; an uninterrupted ink-supply system, a web-tensioning, automatic feeder and a three-way, intelligent heater system that allow unattended production. Mimaki says you can determine the ink type – solvent or sublimation — at the time of purchase.
