Minicom, GnosySoft Win Viscom’s Best Practice Award

Minicom Digital Signage, a provider of media-distribution and management solutions for the digital-signage industry, has won the Viscom Digital Signage Best Practice Awards 2010, along with GnosySoft, its partner in Cyprus, for the digital-signage project in the Larnaca Intl. Airport in Cyprus.
The award recognizes both the client and the contractor of a digital-signage project.
The Larnaca Airport’s digital-signage installation comprises more than 350 displays on eight, different venues. It uses MDS transmission units – DS Vision® 3000 – that provide HD media distribution and display control. The solution reduced electric consumpation and cabling, the company reports.
