Mutoh and GEI WideFormat Partner to Introduce Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42 Scanner and ValueJet MFP System

Mutoh America Inc. (Phoenix), a manufacturer of large-format, commercial, piezo-electric inkjet printers, and GEI WideFormat, a Visual Edge Technology Company that markets equipment, software and supplies through a 100+ dealer network in North America, have bundled the Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42 scanner with the ValueJet 1304 54-in. printer to create a new scan-to-print system specifically designed for commercial, outdoor-durable, wide-format prints. No ventilation is required.

Randy Rickert, general manager, Mutoh America, said, "Now you can scan in local utility maps, topography maps, A/E/C documents, etc, and not have to worry about laminating them to protect them from the environment."

Colortrac SmartLF Gx 42 wide-format scanners are combined with the ValueJet 1304 eco-solvent printers and a “repro-stand” to create a turnkey system that comprises a wide-format scanner, printer, desktop computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse. Also included is a comprehensive suite of software applications; a multi-functional system with a compact footprint was created for high-speed, outdoor, sign and banner production using Eco-Ultra inks. Scan width is 42 in.; print width is 54 in. Prints last up to three years outdoors without lamination, the companies state.
