Mutoh Industries (Tokyo) has launched the VJ-1638UR and the PerformanceJet 2508 printers, both of which recently debuted at the Intl. Sign Assn.’s Sign Expo in Orlando, FL.

The VJ-1638UR is a six-color (CMYK+white+varnish), UV-LED, roll-to-roll inkjet printer that processes on media up to 64-in. wide with a staggered dual printhead design. The VJ-1638UR prints on transparency and colored media, and uses environmentally-friendly VOC-free Mutoh UV ink.

The PerformanceJet 2508UF is a flatbed printer that prints in four (CMYK) or six colors (CMYK+white+varnish) and processes media up to 4 in. thick at up to 1,200 dpi.
