Mutoh America Inc. (Phoenix, AZ) is presenting an online, car-wrap-training video series. According to the company, the program reduces vehicle-graphic design time and expands productivity. The series includes two programs: Carwaps Inc. President Todd LaBrie’s Vehicle Wrap Design and Print Training, and veteran installer Justin Pate’s Vehicle Graphic Installations: Techniques and Tips. LaBrie’s program addresses vehicle graphics’ unique design techniques; conceptual approaches for improved workflow; templates for Illustrator and Photoshop; color correction and management; and file preparation and RIP usage. Pate’s instruction covers basic application techniques, graphic cleaning, registry and layout; working with new vehicle-graphics media; and new tools to help the wrapping process. Pate’s program will soon feature the Advanced Skills Series, which will address media application to bumpers, recessed areas and compound surfaces. Mutoh is offering the instructional series on a monthly or daily membership basis.
