National Retro Day Concludes February’s Calendar

4 kicks off Super Bowl LX month with National Homemade Soup Day. Invite your coworkers to bring in their favorites to share around the office and shop, with voting for the best. The editor-in-chief of ST makes Cuban black bean soup that’s ¡muy bueno, amigos!

15 If FEBRUARY 15 is the day you were born, you share it with Renaissance scientist Galileo’s Birthday. His 1610 paradigm-shifting book, Starry Messenger, was the first to report sunspots, mountains on the Moon, the Milky Way being made of stars and so much more.

16 National Do A Grouch A Favor Day is FEBRUARY 16. “Why would I do this?” you ask. Well, everyone knows a grouch and maybe doing them a favor might — temporarily — turn their frown upside down. Bonus points to anyone whose favor makes a grouch laugh. Give it a try!

27 We close on FEBRUARY 27 with National Retro Day. Choose an era and challenge your coworkers to come to work dressed appropriately. Now, I know some of you can reach into your closets and find something from decades ago. Mullets and bell-bottoms are coming back.
