Rutschi AG, a Zurich, Switzerland-based digital printshop, prevailed in the Vehicle category at FESPA's Digital Print Awards 2009 (HP served as an event sponsor). The shop produced the “Night Trains” vehicle wrap for ZVV Zürcher Verkerhsverbund, which manages Zurich’s transportation network. In six days, Rutschi printed and wrapped two trains with several, 85-ft.-long cars. Printing at 720 x 720 dpi, the shop output the program using a Mutoh America Inc. Spitfire Extreme and a Roland DGA Corporation SolJet Pro III XC-540. Displayed during the 2008 UEFA European soccer championship, Rutschi’s program also incorporate changeable prints that impart variations of the nocturnal theme.
