The Outdoor Advertising Assn. of America (OAAA) announced the winners of its annual OBIE Awards at the TAB/OAAA Out of Home Media Conference and Marketing Expo.
TDA claimed Best of Show for its FirstBank campaign, which featured advertisements for such local micro-businesses as babysitting and dog walking services to communicate the bank’s dedication to small-business owners. The award marks the first time TDA has won the OBIE Best of Show.
An additional 21 Gold OBIEs were awarded in individual categories. The quantity of OBIE winners is higher than in previous years, a jump the judges accredit to an increasing focus on outdoor advertising from top-level creative talent. BBDO New York, TBWAChaitDay, The Richards Group, and Crispin Porter+Bogusky won multiple Gold OBIES.
Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners’ ongoing campaign for MINI Cooper won the Hall of Fame Award.
