Océ (Trumbull, CT) has announced its Océ Arizona® 300 GT printer, a UV-cure, flatbed printer that delivers the same image quality as the Océ Arizona 350 GT, but is configured for signmakers and print shops with lower volume demands. The 300GT uses Océ VariaDotTM imaging technology and four-color (CMYK) UV-cure inks. Oce says the system can produce near-photographic image quality at a true production print speed (sellable prints) of 133 sq. ft./hr. As a shop’s production volumes increase, it can field-upgrade the 300 GT to 350 GT model, gaining production speeds of up to 239 sq. ft./hr. The upgrade also offers a white-ink option, for under-printing on non-white media; over-printing for backlit applications on transparent media; and for white as a spot color.

The printer combines true flatbed architecture with an optional, separate, dedicated, roll-to-roll media handling system. It can print onto rigid media up to 49.2-in.-wide x 98.4-in.-long x 1.89-in. thick. The roll media option allows automated and unattended imaging on flexible media up to 86.6 in. wide.
