Optiglass Launches bGREENplastic Recycling Program

Optiglass PC (Statesville, NC) has launched bGREENplastic (Charlotte, NC), an industrial-plastic recycling program. Bgreenplastic will buy industrial- or commercial-use plastic from North American entities, including non-customers.

Bgreenplastic primarily purchases polycarbonate and acrylic sheet drop and scrap, but will offer a price on any plastic-based material. Customers within 100 miles of Charlotte can call for pickup of materials. Outside that radius, bgreenplastic will arrange to have materials collected. Reimbursement rates are based on the quantity and quality of the plastic materials, as well as the shipping distance.

Price quotes are available from bgreenplastic prior to pickup. Clear polycarbonate materials are typically worth the most, followed by coated, white and color polycarbonates, according to the company. Clear acrylics receive lower reimbursement rates, followed by colored acrylic materials. Painted plastics and PETG are accepted, but typically are worth the less than polycarbonate or acrylic.
