Osram Introduces Advanced Power TopLED Plus

Osram Opto Semiconductors (Sunnyvale, CA) is introducing the Advanced Power TopLED Plus, an optimized white LED designed for architectural and retail lighting. With a luminous efficiency of up to 90 lm/W, the light source is suitable for highlighting linear-lighting applications, such as architectural facades, edges and contours, and retail lighting.

The LED, with a luminous flux of up to 27 lm (100mA/5,700K), is available in various white tones that range from 2,700 to 6,500K. The small, high-intensity LED has a typical beam angle of 140° and homogenous white color from every viewing angle, the company states.

“With nearly every shade of white available, from warm white to cool white, the new Advanced Power TopLED Plus is a perfect solution for linear lighting applications, retail lighting and applications where uniform surface illumination is required,” said Brian Terao, Osram’s director of solid state lighting for North America. “With its compact size, this new LED further enables applications where space is at a premium.”

The Advanced Power TopLED Plus is specified for a connected load of up to 0.5W. Heat is dissipated via gull-wing connections to the lead frame and the PCB. The product will be available this summer.
