Avery Dennison Digitally Printed Films Used in Oshkosh Mini Mural Project

Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions (Mentor, OH) recently played a role in an outdoor mural art gallery in Oshkosh, WI. Large murals displaying original works from 20 local artists have transformed exterior walls in 20 locations around downtown Oshkosh into canvases of brick and cinder block.

The artists pieces on display in the Oshkosh Mini Mural Project were digitally printed onto Avery Dennison s MPI 1405 PVC-free, digitally printable film by Oshkosh-based Art City Wraps, an Avery Dennison certified wrap installer.

The sheets were applied with permission of property owners by a volunteer team of local graphics professionals led by Joshua Marquardt, vice president and partner in Art City Wraps. Marquardt and his team of volunteers started installing late on a Friday afternoon and worked through the night until around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The gallery officially opened at 8 a.m.

We never could have done something like this as recently as three years ago,  Marquardt said.  It would be impossible with paint, and the film technology wasn’t there yet either.”
