Pacific Neon Signs Rock Sacramento’s K Street

Earlier this year, three Sacramento venues opened, hoping to lure residents to K Street. District 30, Pizza Rock and the Dive Bar offer drinks, dancing and Italian-style pizza with a flair. At Pizza Rock, world-class acrobatic pizza throwers entertain guests. The restaurant is known for hand-tossed pies and unusual décor, including a mural of Michelangelo’s “Moment of Creation,” which Pacific Neon Co. (Sacramento) provided, along with signage for all three businesses.

The Pizza Rock sign features exposed neon and five layers of CAM-cut aluminum flames overlaid with tattoo-art filigree. Pacific Neon designed and fabricated the signs based on architectural renderings, using a steel-tube framework mounted to the building’s façade to support the aluminum flames in a three-element overlay. Channel letters overlaid on the filigree are filled with exposed neon. Because K Street is pedestrian-only, most patrons will see the sign peripherally; perforated aluminum panels attached to each end of the frame structure conceal it.
