Recycled Particleboard

The Kerfkore Co. (Brunswick, GA) is introducing FlexGreen, a FSC-certified, eucalyptus-fiber hardboard attached to a particleboard substrate core that’s made from 100% recovered and recycled fiber. FlexGreen allows for normal fabrication attachment methods to rigid structures. It’s designed to bend down to a 10-in. radius prior to lamination. Due to its stable hardboard face, it’s possible to laminate a single-ply veneer or other thin materials directly to the hardboard by use of a cold or hot press. This process will result in 16- and 18-in. bending radii. FlexGreen is available in 48 x 96-, 96 x 48- and 48 x 120-in. sizes, all in a ¾-in.thickness, and it weighs 2.4 lbs. per sq. ft.
