Roland DG Celebrates 30 Years, Announces Creative Awards Winners

Roland DG (Hamamatsu, Japan) celebrated the company’s 30th anniversary at its headquarters, and announced the winners of its Roland Creative Awards competition, which drew more than 1,100 entries worldwide. Du Haibin and Jiao Hongwei, industrial-design processors at China’s Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, accepted awards for the school’s grand-prize entry, a tunneling-machine prototype built with a Roland MDX-540 milling machine using various materials.

For their prize, Haibin and Jongwei selected a Roland EGX-360 gift engraver, which will be used by Lu Xun students.
