Roland DGA Launches New Line of UV Flatbed Printers

Wide-format printer manufacturer Roland DGA (Irvine, CA) has announced the launch of its new VersaUV LEC2 S-Series printers, a line of UV flatbeds designed to expand direct-to-object printing options for users.

Available in two flatbed sizes (64-in. and 30-in. widths), the LEC2 S-Series printers offer direct-to-product customization as well as direct printing on flexible and rigid materials, allowing for a range of merchandising, packaging, sign and display application opportunities.

For each LEC2 S-Series model, print providers can choose from eight different ink configurations to suit their quality, media and finishing needs. This includes dual CMYK for increased productivity, or CMYK with optional red, orange, white, gloss and primer.

Additionally, the new flatbeds offer a “distance print mode” that was developed to maximize print consistency on objects that are flat, irregular or curved. A “reverse blow” setting removes material from the bed for cleaner production.
