Sharp NEC Display Solutions, Avery Dennison Introduce ActiveScene Window Film

Sharp NEC Display Solutions (Chicago, IL) has partnered with Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions (Mentor, OH) to introduce ActiveScene, a film solution that helps turn existing windows into AV displays.

ActiveScene combines Avery Dennison’s Vela Dynamic System and NEC’s projection technology. Utilizing Avery Dennison’s Vela window film, ActiveScene can be retrofitted to any window or glass surface.

Controlled electronically, the film becomes opaque upon command to create a canvas on which users can project an AV experience to their audience, making use of previously underutilized glass wall or window space. When ActiveScene is not in use, the glass remains transparent.

Compared to standalone projection or LCD video walls, ActiveScene provides a turnkey solution without bezels to distract from the image. It is available with three NEC Projector options – PX1004UL, PA803UL or P605UL – and offers multiple brightness options.

The ActiveScene digital display solution includes the NEC projector, lens and standard mount, VELA film, VELA designated controller, media player and basic Content Management System.
