The Sign Chef, an online custom sign company based in Charleston, SC, recently fabricated seven signs for the 628th Communications Squadron of the US Air Force at Joint Base Charleston.
“My goal is to produce signs for every single US military installation on the planet,” said Justin Myers, the chief operations officer for The Sign Chef. Myers is a disabled US Navy veteran and Wounded Warrior Project alumnus.
The shield-inspired signs were produced on 3A Composites’ 3mm, Dibond aluminum composite material in Brushed Silver, and were reverse cut with a CNC router. Myers – whose military lineage includes his father and grandparents as well as ancestors who fought with the Continental Marines in the Revolutionary War – also recently created an 8 x 10-ft. wall display in The Sign Chef’s lobby to pay tribute to military veterans.
