One-Track Mind

A massive mural project involving artists from across the US and the globe is re-beautifying a two-mile transit corridor to downtown Seattle. Buoyed by 50 artists (including two sign painters), SODO Track is transforming the SODO (south of downtown) Busway into an “imaginative raceway of art in motion” for the 50,000 people who ride the bus and light rail along the project’s path daily. Many building backs along this industrial area of Seattle are populated with fading murals from a ’90s initiative.

Produced in partnership with Seattle-based youth organizations and local business, cultural and transit agencies, SODO Track is scheduled for completion by the fall of 2018.
