|2265| (San Diego) is unveiling ColorPainter 64S, a 64-in., six-color, solvent-inkjet printer. The machine offers 720 dpi at speeds of 176 sq. ft. per hour. It prints directly onto uncoated media, such as vinyl or banner stock for outdoor use, and uses ink featuring expanded color gamut and less solvent. The printer uses six superwide piezo printheads, with 512 nozzles per head, for a total of 3,072 nozzles.
