Spartech Corp. (St. Louis, MO) is releasing WeatherPro™ SG, a rigid, UV-stable, thermoplastic sheet designed for thermoforming and fabrication into custom signage. Available in black or white, and with custom colors available by request, the sheet is designed for flat or formed, opaque sign faces; thermoformed, channel-letter backs; or thermoformed, “cloud” sign bodies. The material can be formed over wood, composite or aluminum-cooled tooling, the company says; overheating must be avoided. Smooth and haircell textures are available.
