Stein Sign Display Celebrates 65th Anniversary

Stein Sign Display (Watertown, SD) is celebrating 65 years of business, having operated in northeast South Dakota since founder Clint L. Stein first opened the company in 1952.

Originally named Hi-way Sign Company, Stein Sign Display received its present moniker in 1972. The company has also branched out with two sister companies in Watertown; Clint Stein formed ESCO Mfg., a wholesale sign manufacturing business, in 1965, and in 2011, Stein Sign Display purchased Elite Signs and Graphix, which provides a variety of services including sign repair, large-format digital printing and vehicle wrapping. The three companies combined boast more than 100 employees.
