Summa, Inc. (Seattle, WA) has announced a partnership with Liquid Lens™ (Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England) a leading supplier of digital print, cut and doming systems and related doming consumables.
Summa said doming adds value to any shape or size, non-porous material by coating the surface with a thick layer (approximately 4mm) of polyurethane resin.
Once set, the “domed” coating enhances the look and feel of a product and has many applications, such as promotional products, labels, letter or log sets, POP displays, vehicle graphics and signage.
Polyurethane resin is very durable and long lasting. It’s not easily scratched or dented.
In the doming process, the resin is applied to polyester- or vinyl-based, self-adhesive graphics, letter sets or printed labels which are cut to shape and then coated with the Liquid Lens resin. The resulting, dimensional image enhances the image design, which creates an additional profit center for sign and graphics shops. The resin may also be applied to various promotional products.
Summa offers Liquid Lens’ easy-to-use, high-volume, 400ml cartridge doming machine or its smaller, 75ml cartridge, manual-application doming kit; accessories include a quality-control unit, work trays, bubble remover, applicator guns and cartridge mixers.
