The Imagine Group (Eugene, OR), a Sign Biz Network company, operates a fleet-graphics division as one of its three entities (photography and digitally printed signage are the others). In keeping with the progressive, benevolent spirit of many Oregonians, Imagine devotes much of its time, energy and talent into assisting charitable causes.

Its fleet-graphics division recently helped the Relief Nursery, a Eugene organization that prevents child abuse and helps strengthen at-risk families. Imagine capitalized on the excitement for the University of Oregon’s Pac-10 champion football team and wrapped a trailer equipped with a grill, flat-screen TV and a cooler – a football tailgater’s dream – with digitally printed scenes from Autzen Stadium, home of the Ducks.

The shop printed the graphics using a Roland SC-540 printer with eco-solvent inks using 3M Controltac IJ180Cv3-10 air-release media with the 8519 luster-finish overlaminate. Erika Leaf, the Imagine Group’s vice president, said, “It attracted a lot of attention, especially the side with the close-up shot of the crowd. People wanted to see if they knew anyone in the picture. Easily the most popular item at the auction, it raised more than $11,000 for the Relief Nursery.”

The company has also initiated an annual tradition they call The Great Giveaway, which allows the company’s customers to nominate worthy charities to receive signage. The first-prize winner receives a custom-designed and wrapped truck, a photography package or signage.

“By asking customers to specify which of our services the nonprofit should receive, we engage our customers to note each division’s products and services,” she said.

BRING Recycling, a Eugene-based enterprise that sells salvaged sinks, lumber and related home-improvement components, was awarded a wrap from Imagine Fleet Graphics. They received a photo-laden wrap that emphasizes what’s available at its Re-Use store.

“I think we provide a wonderful, integrated solution, and we were proud to produce a wrap for a well-respected, local organization,” Leaf said. “The gift ware is very visible in our community, so it was a win-win for the organization and our fleet-graphics division.”
