Crush Supplements decided to roll out a food trailer, offering natural smoothies and snow cones, healthy choices that also keep kids cool in sunny Phoenix. They chose Arizona Color Wrap Professionals (Phoenix) after perusing their website, then brought photos to the consultation meeting. Arizona Color designer, Matt Nisbet concocted the logo to meet Crush Supplements’ desire for something “fun, cold and refreshing looking.” And Matt also has an artist’s appreciation for trailers with their “huge blank canvas – at least on one side,” he said.

Matt used Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC to blend the bright colors and images with an icy blue background. Arizona Color output the design on Avery MPI 1005 SC film using an HP Designjet Latex 260 printer, with Avery DOL 1360 overlaminate applied on a SEAL 62 Base laminator. Josh Gillenwater, Jimmie Harmon, Corey Guerrero, Taylor O’Briant and Dean Simons teamed up to install the wrap, using Avery Blue Felt squeegees to make sure the vinyl went down “smoothie.”

“Things get a little difficult with the more complex serving windows and external equipment attachments,” Matt said, “but we find ways to balance the design across the whole trailer so everything is uniform.” Propane tanks, exhaust/heat vents and awnings are also among those obstacles, but “with proper planning, they are rarely an issue,” Matt said. Now, thanks to Arizona Color, sporty kids and fitness-minded adults needing to chill out can easily find the bright Crush truck with its frozen delights.
