Traxon Opens Midwest Sales Office

Traxon Technologies (NYC), an Osram joint-venture company, has opened its Midwest regional sales office in Chicago and appointed Boyd Corbett to manage the new operation. The Midwest office will drive the sales efforts of the company’s Architectural and Systems divisions in the central portion of the U.S.

“The establishment of a facility focused on serving the needs of customers in the burgeoning solid-state, specialty-lighting and lighting-control markets is clear evidence of Traxon/e:cue’s growing leadership in these lighting segments,” Tony Carrella, Traxon USA’s president, said.

Corbett, who will report to Carrella, brings more than 30 years’ lighting-industry experience, having held positions in manufacturing, distribution and sales. He also belongs to the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and has served on the IESNA board of directors and as its treasurer. He also serves on the board of managers for the Chicago IESNA section.

Traxon is a systems and solutions provider in the LED-based lighting industry. It provides a full, turnkey suite of DMX hardware and software solutions, programming and project management.
