Turbo Photo Celebrates 5 Years

Turbo Photo (Portland, OR), a stock photography provider, is celebrating five years in business.

Since May 2002, Turbo Photo has provided stock photos to graphic designers with limited budgets. Trent Mueller, president of Turbo Photo, said the idea for the company came from his graphic design background. “It was a challenge to find any quality stock photos for less than $500," he said.

Turbo Photo was presented publicly in spring 2002 in a business plan competition at California Polytechnic State University.

To celebrate the anniversary, the company plans to release thousands of free web photos for commercial and personal use throughout September.

Designers can stay informed of free photo releases by signing up for a weekly e-newsletter. Just click "subscribe" at the top of Turbo Photo’s website, www.turbophoto.com. New subscribers are given the opportunity to download 50 free stock photos just for joining.
