UVLED-Curable Inkjet Printer

Mimaki USA (Nagano, Japan) is announcing the UJV-160, a 60-in., UV-curable, roll-to-roll, inkjet printer. According to the company, the printer uses UVLED curing technology, which doesn’t generate heat, and a flexible, UV-cure ink developed with 3M.

The low curing heat enables lower power consumption and output on heat-sensitive media such as PVC. The new ink can stretch up to 200% for cured-ink membranes for vehicle wrapping
