Vectorized Alf Becker Alphabets Available

Practical Lettering Studio, a website dedicated to typography revivals of vintage hand-lettering, has recently vectorized several Alf Becker alphabets originally published in Signs of the Times in the 1940’s, and is offering them for sale on their website. “Practical Lettering is an independent type foundry making vintage style fonts inspired by the golden age of commercial art,” per their site.

Co-Founder | Letterer | Designer Noah Johnson wrote a short article and scanned some of the pages from his personal collection of Alf Becker-ST pages on his Substack. “Our intention throughout has been to celebrate Becker’s work and make it more accessible to a new generation of lettering artists,” he wrote in an email to ST.
