Mutoh Europe (Oostende, Belgium) is introducing the SC-Pro 1650, a 64-in., multi-purpose, drag-knife vinyl cutter. The friction-feed cutting plotter accommodates roll and sheet media up to 72.83 in. (1.85m) wide. The machine, equipped with four, repositionable grid rollers, cuts widths up to 64.37 ft. (1.635m).

The SC-PRO grid rollers, matched per individual cutting plotter, guarantee long-length tracking and straight media transport, the company reports. Mutoh’s EPOS technology facilitates automatic, contour cutting of pre-printed signs and stickers.

Equipped with a combo head that enables cutting/plotting and automatic sheet-off, the SC-PRO can cut numerous signmaking materials, from self-adhesive PVC to sandblast stencil, up to a 1mm thick. Cutting force adjusts from 20 to 450g, and speeds reach 39.37 ips (1,000mm/s), at 2.5G maximum acceleration. The machine comes with a stand, a detachable keyboard, a roll-support system and media basket.
