Vycom Recycles Materials from PRINTING United 2023

Vycom (Scranton, PA) collected 1,470 pounds of material at PRINTING United 2023 with its Vycom Recycling Program, according to a press release.

The company situated collection bins at select exhibitors’ booths, which included Fujifilm, Kongsberg/MultiCam, Mimaki and Trotec Laser, among others. After collecting printed and unprinted rigid PVC and acrylic scraps and trim from the manufacturers’ demonstrations, Vycom in collaboration with event services provider Shepard sent the materials to Return Polymers, a PVC recycling and processing company, which would reprocess them into other products and keep them from landfills.

The Vycom Recycling Program began collecting exhibit materials in May 2022 and has since amassed more than 8,000 pounds of material from four signage and graphics trade shows. The program is provided at no cost to participating exhibitors. Vycom was recently recognized by The Performance Plastics Association for the recycling program, the press release states.
