Water-Resistant Vinyl, Banner

|2127| (San Diego), a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Co., is introducing a water-resistant removable vinyl and a water-resistant scrim banner to its portfolio of wide-format inkjet media. Both may be used for indoor or outdoor applications.

The removable product, a calendered vinyl with a pressure-sensitive, repositionable adhesive, can be removed for up to six months without damaging the surface or leaving residue, the company reports.

The scrim banner can be used with thermal and piezo-inkjet printers. It comprises a tear-resistant, polyester fabric embedded between two layers of calendered white vinyl. The scrim center creates an opaque blockout layer. Capable of being sewn, grommeted and draped, the water-resistant product has a bright-white base for high-contrast images.
