Banner Snafu Marks Start of Houston Astros’ Title Defense

The reigning World Series champion Houston Astros recently began their title defense in humorous-but-ultimately-harmless fashion. During the team’s home opener, the tarp covering the new banner sign signifying the club’s first World Series victory last fall got tangled around the banner during the windy pre-game celebration. According to the Houston Chronicle, the Astros were prepared for this minor calamity, as Minute Maid Park workers – including one wielding a leaf blower – quickly rectified the situation.
