Wireless Option for Plotters

Summa Inc. (Gistel, Belgium) is releasing a wireless, data-communication capability for its S Class series of contour-cutting plotters. The new S Class Wireless uses Wi-Fi compatible protocol connectivity and on-board hardware circuitry. The network connection can be easily integrated into a company’s local network. It also supports standard encryption methods for secure connections and data transfer in networks.

Summa is also updating the contour-cutting alignment system for its S Class vinyl-cutting plotter series. The optical positioning system (OPOS-CAM) uses camera optics and camera-control software to increase speed and media options.
