FOR OUR THIRD-ANNUAL Big Survey we asked more questions than ever before, including more that our readers suggested. “How much are others paying?” and “How much should I charge?” are two very FAQs we receive, so this year we plugged a number of those in (see page 26).
We asked how much respondents are paying for MDO, HDU and vinyl. The differences are wide ranging. Same for how much they are charging for design time, as well as banner, panel and channel letter fabrication and installation. How does your sign company compare?
Of course, though business inquiries dominate — some for a second or third year, allowing for trend comparisons — we did try to have some fun along the way. In the concluding section of random thoughts (see page 32), “What’s your favorite color?” reflects a breakout winner. “Are you superstitious?” as expected is more hazy, especially given one choice was “a little.” The list of favorite movies includes all-time classics as well as curious choices — plus, there’s much more.
