3M™ Commercial Solutions (St. Paul, MN) is unveiling its 8170-P50 and 8170-P40 window-graphic film. According to the company, the 4-mil, cast-vinyl films lay flat during printing and don’t lift around simple or mild-compound, curved windows. The material, which is suitable for vehicles, storefront or interior graphics, is compatible with solvent, UV-cure- and latex-ink printing. 3M’s 8170-P50 film contains a 50%-perforation pattern and is recommended for vehicle-window graphics, whereas the 40%-perforated 8170-P40 is recommended for storefront-graphic and POP applications. Both materials are rated for three-year durability.
