The American Sign Museum (ASM, Cincinnati) has announced that it is planning an exhibit on The Heyday of Sign Sketches 1930-1970, which will feature the art of hand-rendered sign sketches in the pre-computer era, according to an email to Signs of the Times from ASM Founder Tod Swormstedt.

While the museum does have a good sampling of sign sketches in its archives, it is hoping to expand the exhibit and include as many designers and sign companies as possible, Swormstedt wrote.

The museum will accept submissions on loan, but will also consider purchasing original artwork. Please contact Tod Swormstedt before sending materials. The exhibit will open at the end of February 2026. The deadline for receiving art is Jan. 20.
