Avery Dennison Adopts Mimaki Printer for Traffic Sign Print System

Avery Dennison (Mentor, OH) has adopted a UV-LED printing platform by Mimaki USA (Suwanee, GA) for its new TrafficJet Xpress traffic sign print system, according to a press release.

The TrafficJet print system is a complete package for producing prints on reflective sheeting for traffic signs, vehicle markings and traffic devices. The system utilizes the 64-in. Mimaki UCJV300-160 UV-LED roll-based inkjet printer for its entry-level configuration, along with inks and media from Avery Dennison. With a digital sign warranty of up to 15 years for outdoor exposure, the system will be available through authorized Avery Dennison representatives.

Avery Dennison offered its first system for digitizing traffic sign manufacturing in 2013. In 2020, the company started pairing TrafficJet Pro
with a high-speed printer for high-volume production, as well as environmentally friendly UV-curable ink for immediate post-processing.
