Black Box’s VGA- and HDMI, DVI-Pattern Generators

Black Box (Lawrence, PA) is introducing the VGA Pattern Generator (PG-VGA) and HDMI and DVI Pattern Generator (PG-DIG) for high-end video applications in healthcare, university and government labs, which depend on accurately rendered images on every screen. The pattern generator helps properly calibrate remote computer monitors and high-definition, 1080p displays. The portable, handheld testing devices enable installers, integrators and AV techs to quickly verify accurate source reproduction of source video on remote monitors or displays.
Suitable for distributed-video, multimedia-studio and digital-signage applications, the pattern generators feature a built-in, rechargeable battery that supports up to eight hours of continuous use. Push-button controls facilitate testing, and a menu displays within the tester’s integrated LCD screen. Included are select tests for many, common VGA and HDTV resolutions, as well as 34 video test patterns for color performance and linearity.
