California Signshop Paying $1,000 to Each Employee Who Gets Vaccinated

A signshop in Santa Cruz, CA has been offering $1,000 to any employee who receives a COVID-19 vaccine, an incentive that has convinced the vast majority of the company’s workers to get the jab, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reports.

Of Community Printers’ 24 employees, all but two have been vaccinated. The financial carrot extends to the employees’ families as well. The company is offering $200 to any family member who gets a vaccine.

The incentive program comes after Community Printers received more than one PPP loan from the federal government, which helped the company keep its doors open through the pandemic, the article explains. The shop is also planning to give its employees hourly raises in June and in December.
