Design Communications, Ltd. (DCL) is a dynamic manufacturer of custom architectural products, including signage and specialty elements with offices in Greater Boston, Orlando and New York City. We are currently looking to add to our Project Development team with experience, professionalism, and a wealth of industry knowledge.

Are you a sign industry, themed environment, experiential or exhibit professional or former sign business owner interested in expanding your knowledge base and taking on the challenge of large-scale and complex custom-designed projects? We are looking for you!

Project Developers spearhead our business development efforts by building and fostering industry relationships, maintaining an awareness of active projects country and world-wide and focusing on project acquisition and working closely with Estimating and other departments on bid package creation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Establish client connection and preserve positive relationship throughout engagement
• Make presentations and provide expert consultation services to our customers
• Maintain focus on active project acquisition / business development
• Lead bid proposal preparation, estimating and budget development, schedule planning
• Participate in contract negotiations
• Liaise with Project Manager during project delivery process

Skills/Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in signage, exhibit, themed architectural element environment
• Proven success with business management/project development/project management
• Knowledge of the construction, design, engineering, fabrication, and installation processes
• Proficient computer skills, particularly Word, Excel, Project
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal
• Open to travel

This is a senior position that reports to executive staff and may include training and/or mentoring of junior staff.
