Super Creative Design Engineers Wanted

Design Communications, Ltd. (DCL) engineers and builds high-visibility architectural products for renowned clients around the world. Working closely with prestigious and innovative architects and design professionals, DCL specializes in custom interiors, unique lighting solutions, one of a kind signs and displays and elaborate sculptural elements.

We are currently seeking highly creative and very intelligent Design Engineers to join our spectacularly talented team, recognized as the best in the world at what they do! A positive attitude, flexibility, and a strong work ethic are essential.

This is not a product design nor graphic design job; this is a position that requires a solutions-oriented engineering approach. You will be using your knowledge to interpret already established design criteria that will be provided by architects and outside design firms to troubleshoot and engineer the client’s vision. Your end product will be highly detailed shop drawings our Fabricators and Installers will rely on.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or similar highly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in signage, exhibit, trade show, millwork or related field
• 4+ years using CAD; preferably AutoCAD
• Proven ability to work quickly and calmly under tight deadlines
• Fabrication / building experience highly preferred
• Thorough knowledge of materials, technology, and building techniques
• Excellent math, verbal and written communication skills
• Hand sketching ability
• Creativity in problem-solving
• A stellar sense of humor
