CNN.com Gallery Celebrates Neon

Although some may take exception to the reference to neon as "dying," it highlights the world’s appreciation for the technology. Although LEDs have replaced neon for many electric-sign installations because of its ease of use and reported lifespan, neon will surely remain in demand for many types of environmental graphics.
