Daktronics Inc. (Brookings, SD) has announced the latest in the company s Galaxy line of LED message displays, the Galaxy GT6x.

GT6x LEDs are mounted to the surface of the circuit of the display to generate bright, robust images in a wider viewing area than traditional LED displays, according to a statement released by Daktronics. Pixel pitch is also a factor in the viewing experience. Pixel pitch is the number of pixels per square foot. The smaller the pixel pitch, the higher the resolution. The new GT6x is available in both a standard 8 mm and 10 mm pixel pitch options.

The GT6x features an upgraded module and power delivery system to increase brightness 33% over the existing Galaxy GT6 product line.

“While the GT6x does implement different technology than past displays, we did retain the features that our customers appreciate, like easy installation, front ventilation and narrow depth,” said Daktronics Market Manager Taylor Nilson. “It also pairs with the popular cloud-based Venus Control Suite software for simple control from anywhere and from any device.”

The GT6x replaced the existing Galaxy GT6 product as of October 30.
