The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has selected Daktronics (Brookings, SD) to design and manufacture 229 new displays along Interstate 395, taking VDOT’s total purchase of Daktronics displays to 658 since 2012. VDOT installed 83 displays in 2012 beside I-495 and 346 along I-395/I-95 in 2014. The displays show AMBER Alerts/public safety announcements as well as construction, traffic and weather information.
